Obama Visits Afghanistan

Kabul, AFGHANISTAN- President Obama has arrived at Bagram Air Fielf in Afghanistan’s capital of Kabul for an unannounced visit to the country. This is the first time he has been to Afghanistan since becoming Commander-in-Chief. His short, few hour long visit will include a meeting with President Hamid Kharzai, in which is he is meeting right now, a meeting with Kharzai’s cabinet and US Officials, and a speech to members of the American military stationed there. The White House said President Kharzai of Afghanistan was notified of the visit only an hour before the President’s arrival. This visit comes after the President accomplished a campaign promise of Health Care Reform, and he is now switching gears to focus on other issues.
