THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS (BNO NEWS) -- Supermodel Naomi Cambell and actress Mia Farrow will be testifying in court before the International Criminal Court in the Hague, Netherlands in the case of former Liberian President Charles Taylor, local media said Thursday.

Dutch News reported that Taylor allegedly gave Campbell a "blood diamond" in 1997 during a private party hosted by former South African President Nelson Mandela, and she then supposedly told Farrow.

Taylor has been on trial since January 2008 for allegedly acquiring jewels, which were mined by children and/or slave labor, from rebels in Sierra Leone to sell or exchange for weapons.

These testimonies could help prove Taylor's involvement in the mining.
