The New York Knicks have advance to a winning record of 10-9. They beat their division opponent, The New Jersey Nets 111-100.

The Knicks were led by Stoudemire who had himself an outstanding game with 36 points. Wilson chandler and Raymond Felton both had a double double. (Chandler Scored 27, Felton Score 21.)

Brook Lopez had his highest scoring game this season with 36 points. He still wasn’t able to lead his team to a win with Star Devon Harris getting injured in the 3rd quarter.

The Nets, who are moving to Brooklyn in 2012 have started a battle with The Knicks. The Nets have been trying to persuade New Yorkers to become Nets fans. Out side of Madison Square Garden their is a huge billboard showing Jay Z and Mikhail Prokhorov the owner of The Nets.

The Knicks responded by putting a huge Billboard of Amare Stoudemire by Barclays center close to the soon to be NJ Nets Arena.

The Knicks also put a commercial sending a message to Net fans during The Nets Pistons game, “You can walk like us, you can talk like us, but you ain’t never gonna be like us.”

The Owner of The New Jersey Nets responded with an email, “I don’t think we want to be like the Knicks. I think we’d more like to resemble the Lakers.”

Both coaches, Avery Johnson and Mike D’antoni believe a rivalry doesn’t start until the post-season.

The first part of the season has played out, and from The Nets record it looks like they will not be making the play off Bracket. Yet, with the season so young, any team can rise or fall by the start of April.
