Drivers Stuck in Snow For 12 Hours
In Buffalo New York, drivers have been stuck in snow for more than 12 hours. The snow has caused interstate 90 to shut down with all of the drivers on it. Shifting winds from the storm front that is moving through the Eastern United States this week have put the city of Buffalo in the middle of a snow storm that can cover some areas with over 24 inches in only 24 hours.

“In terms of snowfall, I have seen snowfall like this before but I have never been stuck in a situation like this on the thruway this extreme,” said college student Sam McMahon. He was heading home from Buffalo University when he got stuck in the storm. “By 9 o’clock, we were stopped,” he said. “Since 9:30 last night, I haven’t moved an inch.”
Some specific areas got hit constantly with awful snowfall. Also the temperature has dropped below freezing. The forecasters said that it will bring down some tree limbs and cause a few power outages near the city of Buffalo. Despite the horrible conditions, the New York State Highway Authority concluded that no injuries have been reported.
