Albany, NY (Channel 6 News) — Coming off fairly high approval ratings for his first year, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s will announce his plans for his second year in office during today’s State of the State address.
The Address, which is scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM, will be a critical part of Cuomo’s 2nd year in office as the Governor will lay out his approach to 2012.
Cuomo’s first State of the State address included plans to clean up the corruption in New York, lower the property taxes, and make life easier for those living in New York.
The theme for this year’s address is ‘Building a New NY.’
Though most of his solutions for 2012 are confidential and won’t be released until he delivers his speech later today in Albany, there are several issues that we can expect for Cuomo to approach at the address
Cuomo will most likely stress consolidation of state agencies, cutting back state-mandated cost in the local governments, expanding casino gambling and several other issues including education reform.
