Steve Jobs’ Widow, among others, to be guests of First Lady for State of the Union
Washington, DC (Channel 6 News) — As tradition with every State of the Union, First Lady Michelle Obama, has invited a number of guests to join her in a special viewing box to watch the President’s State of the Union. One of the first ladies’ guests tonight includes Laurene Powell Jobs, the late Steve Jobs’ widow. Ms. Powell Jobs has served as president of the board of College Track, an after-school program she founded in 1997 to prepare underserved high school students for success in college. Started in East Palo Alto, College Track has expanded to serve students in Oakland, San Francisco, New Orleans and Aurora, Colorado. Her attendance hints at possible announcments regarding education reform in the evening’s State of the Union.
Also joining the First Lady is Dr. Jill Biden, Valerie Jarrett, SGT Ashleigh Berg, Alicia Boler-Davis, Debbie Bosanek, Jackie Bray, Mayor Julián Castro, Bruce Cochrane, Sara Ferguson, Dr. Hiroyuki Fujita, Mahala Greer, Adrienne Howard, Captain Mark Kelly, Lorelei Kilker, Admiral William McRaven, USN, Joan Milligan, Adam Rapp, Juan Jose Redín, Bryan Ritterby, and Colonel Ginger Wallace.
